Alessandro Gualtieri took the volcanic landscape of southern Italy as his subject and treated it with honesty rather than romance. Ash and minerals open the composition, followed by scorched wood, the smell of a fire after it has gone out, when only the structural memory of the wood remains. A subtle sweetness from hints of ripe fruit arrives later, softening the intensity without extinguishing it.
Orto Parisi Terroni is grounded in the most literal sense; it connects you to something large and geological and permanent. It is not a fragrance for everyone, and it knows that. But for the person who wears it, it is unlike anything else they own.
