The original Le Male from 1995 built its reputation on lavender and vanilla, approachable, instantly appealing, universally loved. Le Parfum takes that foundation and pushes it into darker, warmer territory. The lavender is still there, but it is deeper, less bright. Vanilla becomes warmer and slightly smoky. There is an iris note that adds a powdery sophistication the original never had.
